From Waiter to Dining Room Manager!
Many of our
regular guests in the Dining Room will know Bogdan well! Bogdan has been an integral part of our exquisite Dining Room front of house team since 2017. Bogdan took time out from creating magical experiences with our guests to sit down with us and tell us about his time in Fallon & Byrne!
What role did you start in when you first joined the company? What roles have you had since then?
I started as a Waiter, I worked as a Bartender when needed, I was a Supervisor, then a Floor Manager, an Assistant Manager and now the General Manager.
What initially drew you to apply or join the team here?
I was initially brought in by a friend that was working in Fallon & Byrne at the time, and I was very quickly convinced by the ethos and the standards of quality that were always at the core of the business.
How has your career evolved since you started?
My career has grown a lot, and I have developed very much both as an individual and as a professional due to the support I have received. 2021 was a huge turning point for me as after that I progressed very fast from the Waiter position to Supervisor, to Floor Manager, Assistant Manager and eventually to General Manager in June 2024.
Has anyone within the company helped guide or support your growth?
Yes, I wouldn’t have been in the position I am without people believing in me. First person to really see my potential was our amazing owner, as well as the support from our Managing Director Vincent Belingard were key in my growth here. Of course, all the Senior Leadership Team supported me, and they continue to do so, I wouldn’t be able to do anything without them backing me.
How has the culture here played a role in your development?
The culture plays a huge role, because when you see people around you care about their jobs and the company it pushes you to be better, to do better.
What achievements are you most proud of so far?
My proudest achievement so far is forming the team that has delivered not only the best Christmas in the history of the company, but the best year to date!
What advice would you give to someone just starting their journey in Fallon & Byrne?
My advice would be to stay positive and keep pushing themselves. If you do your job and do it well your work will be acknowledged, and you will get the recognition you deserve.
What’s next for you—are there any goals or projects you’re especially excited about?
I’m excited to continue to build upon the strong team that we have and to further develop on our past successes and keep raising the standards and making Fallon & Byrne a place where everyone wants to work and for customers to come celebrate all their happy moments.
